Partners occasionally share reports of scammers sending fraudulent emails impersonating BookBub. If you believe you’ve received an email from a potential scammer, we encourage you to take the following steps:
- Check the sender identity. Legitimate BookBub emails will always come from an @bookbub.com email address. Be on the lookout for similar-looking addresses (like bookbub@gmail.com or support@bookbub-deals.com), which are not affiliated with BookBub.
- Do not click any links or reply. If you believe a message is suspicious, reach out to us directly to confirm its authenticity (see below).
- Contact us directly to verify. Send us an email at partners@bookbub.com to verify whether the message you received is legitimate. We may ask you to forward the suspicious message you received.
- Once confirmed, mark as spam. If you’ve reached out to us and verified that an email is fraudulent, mark it as spam or a phishing attempt in your email client.
We will never ask you to share sensitive information like passwords or payment details via email. If you’ve received an offer to have your book featured on BookBub for a promotion you have not submitted for, we strongly encourage you to reach out to us directly to confirm the offer’s legitimacy.
